Does Family Shield slow down my internet?+

WireGuard adds 5–10ms of latency on a good server. For comparison, OpenVPN adds 30–80ms. For most homes the difference is unnoticeable.

Can I set different rules for my kids?+

Yes — each device joins under a profile (Parent, Teen, Kid, Grandparent, Custom). Each profile has its own blocklist, bedtime windows, and category filters.

What happens at bedtime?+

The VPN tunnel disconnects for that profile, blocking internet on the device until the bedtime window ends. Parents get a notification so kids can't just turn it back on.

How many devices can I connect?+

Free: 1 device. Pro: 3 devices. Family: 6 devices.

Do you log my browsing?+

No. We log peer registration and aggregate counts of blocked items for the dashboard. We never log URLs, DNS queries tied to a user, or traffic content. See /security and /privacy for details.

Can I use this for streaming?+

Yes — pick a streaming-tagged server (London, New York, Sydney). Family Shield isn't optimised for streaming specifically, but it works for most services.

What if I want a refund?+

Apple processes all App Store refunds. We honour every request — contact us and we'll guide you through the steps.

Is my data shared with Apple or RevenueCat?+

Subscription state is managed by Apple's StoreKit and RevenueCat. We don't share family data, browsing data, or any personal information with either.
